FC Bayern - Hamann accuses Lewandowski of selfishness: "Little understanding of his statements"

Former national player and Bayern kicker Dietmar Hamann has accused Robert Lewandowski of FC Bayern Munich of selfishness.

“I have little understanding for the statements. He says that it is a difficult situation for him,” explained Hamann Sky90. For weeks there have been discussions about how things will continue with Lewandowski, who is still under contract until 2023.

“I would like to ask him: in the last five years, when he has flirted with other clubs every summer or spring, whether he has ever thought about whether it was a difficult situation for the club?” Said Hamann, who referred to the corona-related loss of income for FC Bayern.

Hamann: Lewandowski “is no longer 24”

He lacks a certain gratitude for Lewandowski. “He hasn’t even said in the last few years how happy he is in Munich,” Hamann said. At the same time, the attacker expects a special new contract, both financially and in terms of the term.

“He’s no longer 24, but soon 34 years old. He can’t wait for the club to say: ‘We’ll do another two years’. Nobody knows whether he’ll still be scoring his goals next year or the year after that,” Hamann said understanding of this aspect.

After winning the tenth German championship in a row, Lewandowski was slightly dissatisfied with his personal situation and explained that there had not yet been any contract negotiations. Bayern then confirmed this in the person of sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, who confirmed that selling Lewandowski in the summer was out of the question for the club.
