The longtime club boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge sees huge problems for the opponents of the German record champions Bayern Munich.
“The offensive with Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Sadio Mane, Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala is the fastest in Europe,” said Rummenigge on Thursday at a talk show on Sylt, “there’s incredible speed in the game. That will help defend all 17 Bundesliga teams not easy.”
However, investments such as those in Mane or Matthijs de Ligt would also have to pay off, accesses would take some time to get used to, said Rummenigge (66), who sits on the Executive Committee of the European Football Union (UEFA). “They have invested 200 million euros in their central defense alone. You have to see this amount of money as quality on the pitch.”
