ÖFB legionnaire Konrad Laimer is in great demand. FC Bayern Munich in particular seems to be trying hard to get the 25-year-old’s services and should be ahead in the race.
As the well-connected journalist Fabrizio Romano reports, the record champion is in talks with RB Leipzig to guide Laimer to Munich. The first offer should therefore be between 18 and 20 million euros. The ÖFB kicker is a dream player from Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann, who is pushing for a change.
Although Leipzig is trying to keep the midfield engine, a summer transfer should not be unlikely. After all, Laimer’s contract expires in 2023. This would probably be the last chance to cash properly. In addition, clubs from the Premier League are said to have kept an eye on Laimer.
