FC Bayern Munich: High fine for pyrotechnics

Soccer record champions Bayern Munich have to dig deep into their pockets because of the burning of pyrotechnics by their fans. The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) fined the club 115,600 euros. Of this, Munich can use up to 38,500 euros for security or infrastructure measures.
According to the verdict, Munich supporters burned at least 104 pyrotechnic objects during and after the away game at VfB Stuttgart in early March. They also fired two rockets onto the field in the 46th minute, after which the game had to be interrupted for a minute.
Hertha BSC, who were relegated to the first division, also had to pay a fine of 4,000 euros because their fans ignited firecrackers. Third division team 1860 Munich was also fined, the lions had to pay 7,100 euros for pyro offenses.
