FC Bayern Munich – “I spoke to him”: FC Barcelona’s flirt with Joshua Kimmich from FCB is getting hotter

FC Barcelona coach Xavi has once again commented publicly on Joshua Kimmich. He revealed in an interview on Twitch with Gerard Romero that he exchanged views with Bayern’s midfield star during the World Cup at the end of 2022.

Xavi revealed: “I spoke to him in Qatar. We met at an event, he said he was a fan of mine.” A few days ago, Xavi had in the Mundo Deportivo explains: “If there is an open door, there will be negotiations with Bayern.”

Barcelona are looking for a central midfield reinforcement with the departure of Sergio Busquets. In addition to Ilkay Gündogan from Manchester City, Kimmich should also be a candidate.

The German international is tied to Bayern until 2025. Xavi said: “He’s under contract with Bayern Munich, so it’s up to him. But look at Lewandowski. He wanted to come.”

The Pole had vehemently pushed for a transfer to Barcelona last summer and finally switched to the Catalans after tough transfer poker a year before the end of his contract.

Kimmich made 47 competitive appearances for Munich last season. The 28-year-old scored seven goals and eleven assists.
