FC Bayern Munich are testing against Manchester City and Jürgen Klopp’s FC Liverpool on their trip to Asia in the pre-summer season. This was announced by the Japanese J-League and the Reds on Tuesday. Accordingly, the Munich team will meet Pep Guardiola on July 26 in the National Stadium in Tokyo, three days later there will be a game against the four-time Japanese champions Kawasaki Frontale.
The Bavarians will then travel on to Singapore as part of the “Audi Summer Tour” and will meet Liverpool FC there on August 2nd. City recently eliminated Bayern in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while the last encounter with Liverpool was more than four years ago.
“We want to give our fans around the world the opportunity to see our players live,” said Bayern boss Oliver Kahn recently.
The Munich team was last in Japan in 2008 with their professional team, in Asia in 2017 – at that time in China and Singapore.
