FC Bayern Munich: Missed training

FC Bayern Munich has to worry about Yann Sommer in the top game on Saturday evening. FCB’s current first-choice goalkeeper missed team training on Wednesday. His standings for the game on Matchday 33 are still open.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer was unable to attend the German record champions’ training session on Wednesday. Gastrointestinal problems kept the 34-year-old away from the record champions’ training grounds.

The club left open when summer can start again. It is therefore also unclear whether the replacement for the injured Manuel Neuer could fail in the final sprint of the season on matchday 33. In the tight title race on Saturday (6:30 p.m.), Bayern host RB Leipzig for the top game in the Bundesliga.

If Sommer’s complaints do not improve by then, Bayern will have to send the nominal number three, Sven Ulreich, into the race.

Ulreich has played eight competitive games this season, conceding six goals but keeping five clean sheets. In addition to playing in the first round of the DFB Cup, he represented Manuel Neuer in seven competitive games in October before he broke his fibula. All eight games with Ulreich in goal were won by FC Bayern.
