FC Bayern: Nübel attacked by TV expert

Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel is currently on loan from FC Bayern to AS Monaco to take the next step there. The performance of the 24-year-old, however, caused severe criticism instead of enthusiasm.

“And that should be the future successor of Manuel Neuer at Bayern?”, Said ex-PSG goalkeeper Jerome Alonzo recently in a live broadcast of L’Equipe TV and continued to attack the former Schalke player: “He doesn’t make a good impression on me. He looks lame, insecure and technically limited.”

Monaco started after the failure in the Champions League qualification in Ligue 1 with a yield of only four points from five games, for which Nübel is partly to blame.

Small mistakes and inattentiveness were the order of the day in his eight missions for the principality. Nübel has also already made one or the other major mistake.

But coach Niko Kovac continues to hold on to his keeper, the coach’s trust in the German’s abilities remains unbroken. The former Bayern coach told a press conference about strong training performances and Nübel’s enormous will to improve: “He will improve, I am absolutely convinced of that.”

On Thursday against Sturm Graz in the Europa League (9 p.m. in the LIVETICKER) he gets another chance to prove himself. “Alex needs games, rhythm”, explained Kovac and added: “This competition is very important for us.”

Nübel moved from Gelsenkirchen to Munich in the summer of 2020 after playing in the focus of several top clubs. In his debut season, however, Nübel only made four appearances behind Neuer.

Bayern: Sabitzer against Bochum in the starting line-up?

Julian Nagelsmann has announced several changes in the starting line-up for next Saturday’s game against VfL Bochum. “We will give one or the other player a break, but not in eight positions,” said the FCB coach.

After the convincing performances against RB Leipzig (4: 1) and FC Barcelona (3: 0) Nagelsmann also wanted to take into account the character of some players. “We have a team that is used to playing every three days and a lot of players in the squad who want that too. I won’t take the game away from them.”

This probably means top performers such as Manuel Neuer, Johsua Kimmich, Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski.

Again kicker reports, Nagelsmann will weigh up who needs a break after “consulting the medical department”. Thus, newcomer Marcel Sabitzer could be in the starting line-up for the first time after his two short appearances.

Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, who came off the bench in Barcelona, as well as Lucas Hernandez are also considered candidates.

FC Bayern, News: Ze Roberto impresses with a muscle photo

Former Bayern player Ze Roberto did not stop playing sports even after his career ended (2017). The Brazilian has been doing fitness training for several years, which is proven by a recently uploaded photo.
