Lothar Matthäus thinks highly of young star Jamal Musiala from FC Bayern. Meanwhile, Thomas Müller reached a milestone. The news and rumors about FCB can be found here.

Here you can find the Bayern news and rumors from the day before.

FC Bayern – News: Lothar Matthäus praises Jamal Musiala

Lothar Matthäus praised Jamal Musiala to the skies and believes he is capable of a world career.

The hymns of praise for Bayern’s midfield jewel Jamal Musiala don’t stop. Whether Oliver Kahn, DAZNExpert Michael Ballack or teammates like Thomas Müller – everyone is raving about the youngster these days. After Musiala was back on the top scorers list against Wolfsburg on Sunday and thus led the Bundesliga with three goals, record national player Lothar Matthäus also spoke up.

Matthew said at sky90 about Musiala: “At 19, Musiala is further along than Bastian Schweinsteiger was, that’s for sure.” Musiala has “so many skills that no one else has in their whole life.” Specifically, Matthäus said: “He is technically strong, he recognizes situations, he has speed, he understands the game, he is a goal threat, he gives the last ball.” In short: “He makes the difference!”

Are these requirements perhaps even sufficient for an election as world footballer in the future? “Yes, definitely. He’ll definitely bring that with him,” Matthäus is certain, because he’s already prevailed over competitors who have achieved great things. And he just stays normal. That’s the decisive thing when you wants to be a great player. I’m convinced he’ll be one.”

Musiala switched from the Chelsea youth team to FC Bayern in 2019 and played there in the U17s and U19s before joining the professional squad in 2020. Since this season he has been a regular player under coach Julian Nagelsmann, Musiala still has a contract with the record champions until 2026.

FC Bayern – News: Oliver Kahn indicates whereabouts of Marcel Sabitzer

After Marcel Sabitzer had been traded as a possible candidate for sale at FC Bayern, CEO Oliver Kahn now indicated that the Austrian would stay.

Asked about this personality, Kahn told reporters on Sunday: “The transfer list is still a bit open, but overall we’re done.”

At the same time, there will probably no longer be a transfer from his compatriot Konrad Laimer from Leipzig, at least this summer.

One of the positive surprises at the start of the season in the FC Bayern squad is Sabitzer. Including the Supercup against Leipzig, he played all three competitive games this season in the absence of the injured Leon Goretzka from the start and knew how to convince. So much so that a whereabouts are now almost certain.

FC Bayern – News: Thomas Müller overtakes the next legend

The home game against VfL Wolfsburg (2-0) on Sunday was a milestone for Thomas Müller. It was his 417th game in the Bundesliga for the record champions. That’s the fourth most in club history. He left defender Georg “Katsche” Schwarzenbeck behind.

Only the goalkeeper legends Sepp Maier (473 games) and Oliver Kahn (427) and the “bomber of the nation”, Gerd Müller (427), are ahead of him. The latter should overtake Thomas Müller this year.
