FC Bayern Munich: The performance in recent years

In the last decade, FC Bayern has been the ultimate in Germany’s top division. During this time, the Munich team clinched ten championship titles in a row – more in a row than any team before. In the current season they can expand this series even further.

Compared to previous years, however, the reigning champions now seem to have lost their lasting dominance. 59 points after 28 matchdays – Bayern haven’t had such bad numbers since the 2010/11 season. Even in the following season, when Jürgen Klopp’s BVB won the league for the second time in a row, they still had 60 points at that point in the season.
