Previously, he had taken care of the green spaces at TSG Hoffenheim. With the relocation to Munich, Sauer will work for his favorite club in the future.

Sauer gained international fame last year when he mowed a peace sign into the lawn of the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg during the course of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. Afterwards there had been numerous imitators all over the world.

The idea for the sign of peace came to him on the sofa back then. Shortly before, he had learned that the symbol was to be placed on the corner flags.
