Oliver Kahn has defended himself against the critical voices that complain about his work as CEO of FC Bayern. “It’s just not right what I’m sometimes accused of in this context,” said the 53-year-old sports picture.

Above all, Kahn does not want to let the accusation that he runs Munich more like a company than a traditional club and heaps a crowd of consultants around him. “There’s always talk of Oliver Kahn being surrounded by advisors. At the same time, the 53-year-old also expressed understanding for the criticism of some fan groups: “I’m also self-critical. We should have taken the fans with us more. They live these values, this ‘Mia san Mia’. It was never the goal to tell the fans what they mean by ‘mia san mia’ because the fans know that very well and maybe best of all.”

FC Bayern has gained model Lena Gercke as a cooperation partner. As Munich confirmed on their social media channels, the 35-year-old will work with the women’s department of the German record champions in the future.
