FC Bayern, rumour: Several clubs interested in Roca
AS Roma are said to be very interested in signing Marc Roca from Bayern Munich. The Italian newspaper reports la Republica.
The Serie A club was already associated with the Spanish midfielder in winter, and it is said that there was even contact. The Italians should not be without competition in their supposed second attempt. Two clubs from the Spanish Primera Division should also be interested. However, it is not known what these are.
Last week, however, Spanish media reported that Real Betis had already made a move.
Roca will not get beyond a reserve role at FC Bayern this season. According to information from sports picture the 25-year-old wants to continue to assert himself in Munich. How the club plans with him is currently unclear.
FC Bayern, News: Freiburg decides on protest
SC Freiburg is expected to make a decision today, Monday, as to whether Bayern should lodge a protest because of the mistake made in the substitution. According to information from the table football but not very convinced of this scenario. The SC does not doubt the sportingly deserved victory of Munich, but is still in a complex consultation process. The consequences of a protest for one’s own processes play a central role. A subpoena for Nico Schlotterbeck and the supervisor or trainer team would restrict training operations. In addition, there would be media unrest, which is why a waiver might be the better decision.
Uli Hoeneß could also have an influence on the SC not protesting. According to information from image in Freiburg you still have a fair action by the former manager and president of FC Bayern in mind. In March 2005, Hoeneß pointed out to the then Freiburg coach, Volker Finke, that he had one non-EU foreigner too many in the squad – five were allowed at the time. Finke was able to react, but his team still lost 7-0. Nevertheless, the Bavarians have not been forgotten to this day.
In the 4-1 win in Freiburg, Munich briefly had twelve players on the pitch. You can find all information about it here!
