FC Bayern, News: Daley Blind wants to be “an inspiration”.

Daley Blind joined FC Bayern from Ajax Amsterdam in January. The 32-year-old left-back has now commented on his first few weeks with the German record champions. “I sensed a special atmosphere here from day one. You can see the strong cohesion in this team,” Blind told Bayern Magazine 51.

The team-mates in particular are helpful with the adjustment: “In the dressing room, for example, I sit next to Thomas Müller. He talks an awful lot and is definitely a guy who makes it easy for every newcomer. Joshua Kimmich sent me a message right after my first game sent, I thought that was a very nice gesture.”

The Netherlands international, who has played in four competitive games so far, also spoke about life as a professional with a defibrillator fitted to him in 2019 because of heart problems.

“Even during my rehab I got a lot of messages and noticed how many people are concerned with this topic,” says Blind: “I hope I can be a little inspiration for one or the other, and I want to convey to children and all people that it’s always worth never giving up, setting goals – and living for them.”

FC Bayern, rumour: Scouts are watching Mohammed Kudus

FC Bayern is also said to have kept an eye on Mohammed Kudus. According to a report by 90min, the people of Munich are among the large group of people interested in the star of Eredivisie record champions Ajax Amsterdam. FCB scouts have scrutinized Kudus several times. Bayern have signed two players from Amsterdam in Ryan Gravenberch and Daley Blind in recent months.

Kudus, in whom Bayern’s Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested, can be used flexibly on offense and has had a strong season in Amsterdam with 20 points in 33 competitive games. He also impressed in Ghana’s national team at the World Cup finals in Qatar.

Loud 90 mins Kudus are said to have a whole host of other top clubs in their sights, most notably Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Milan, Inter and PSG. The attacking midfielder’s contract with Ajax runs until 2025.

FC Bayern, News: Second team wins dramatically

FC Bayern II has won a game by scoring in injury time for the second time in a row. A week after the 2-1 win over SpVgg Unterhaching (hyun-ju Lee scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute), coach Holger Seitz’s team beat 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 3-2 on Friday evening. This time, second-half substitute Yusuf Kabadayi scored in the 95th minute to win.

Timo Kern (29′) and Segbe Azankpo (48′) had previously given the hosts a 2-0 lead from penalties. Pascal Moll (63rd/83rd) equalized with a brace for Schweinfurt.

“The way we won the game was more of a happy thing, because we decided the game with the last action. But that doesn’t change the fact that it was a deserved win. We showed a great mentality against Unterhaching and today. That speaks volumes for the character of the team. It is not a matter of course to force success twice like that,” said Coach Seitz.

Bayern are third in the fourth-tier Regionalliga Bayern with 41 points from 25 games. However, the gap to leaders Unterhaching (60 points) and pursuers Würzburger Kickers (55 points) is considerable.

FC Bayern, News: 12 wins in a row at VfB Stuttgart

On Saturday, FC Bayern will be visiting VfB Stuttgart (6.30 p.m. in LIVETICKER). For the Munich team, the game is the dress rehearsal for the round of 16 second leg in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain (Wednesday, 9 p.m. in LIVETICKER).

In the first half of the season, FCB only drew 2-2 against the Swabians. “The first leg has no relevance,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann at the obligatory press conference on Friday: “They now have a new coach, a good approach, they have a lot of speed up front, good processes – the typical Bruno Labbadia that they do a lot have to work and walk. Bruno is giving them hell, so we have to give ourselves hell too.”

The game between Bayern and Stuttgart has already taken place 135 times. The record from the point of view of the record champions: 84 wins, 24 draws and 27 defeats. Bayern have won all of the past 12 games in the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Stuttgart’s last home win against the record champions was more than 15 years ago (3-1 on November 10, 2007).

While FCB has won five of their last six games across all competitions, the Swabians have collected two wins and four bankruptcies. In the last game in Stuttgart, the record champions won 5-0 in December 2021. Serge Gnabry shone with three goals back then.

FC Bayern: Probable line-up against VfB Stuttgart

FC Bayern will be without Lucas Hernandez (torn cruciate ligament) and Manuel Neuer (broken leg) in Stuttgart. Leroy Sane is expected to be available despite an ankle injury. Serhou Guirassy (torn adductor tendon) and Borna Sosa (suspended) are absent from VfB.

Nagelsmann left open on Friday whether he would bring Benjamin Pavard from the start. The reason: the Frenchman is blocked against PSG. “I discussed that out loud in the bathroom this morning. Benji is in very good form, it’s a gut decision. You have to let him play in isolation, he’s one of our most stable players. But he’s suspended on Wednesday. We will make the decision in the morning. Benji would understand if he didn’t play,” said Nagelsmann.

VfB Stuttgart: Bredlow – Vagnoman, Mavropanos, Zagadou, Ito – Karazor – Endo, Haraguchi – Tiago Tomas, Führich – Silas

FC Bayern: Summer – Pavard, Upamecano, de Ligt – Kimmich, Goretzka – Coman, Davies – Müller, Musiala – Choupo-Moting

FC Bayern, News: Are three milestones reached?

From a Munich perspective, three milestones can be achieved in the game in Bad Cannstatt. Bayern have 98 away goals against VfB, a number that no club in the Bundesliga has scored 100 at another.

Meanwhile, Thomas Müller could record his 300th direct goal contribution with a goal or an assist. Since the detailed data collection from the 2004/2005 season, only Robert Lewandowski, who has played 367 goals, has managed this feat before the 33-year-old.

And then there’s Alphonso Davies. The 22-year-old Canadian is facing his 100th Bundesliga game and would be the youngest foreigner in Bayern history and the sixth youngest player ever to reach that mark.

FC Bayern, News: This is how CL opponents PSG work

Of course, the round of 16 second leg in the premier class also casts its shadow at PSG. Even if coach Christophe Galtier didn’t want to know about it before the dress rehearsal of the French in Ligue 1 against FC Nantes (9 p.m. in LIVETICKER).

“The most important game is the one ahead of us. I hope that the players don’t have Wednesday’s game against Bayern in the back of their minds,” said the 56-year-old at a press conference on Friday, but then added: “It’s getting better and better at preparing for big games with wins.”

While superstar Neymar is unlikely to be available in Munich due to an ankle injury (Galtier: “No, I don’t think he will play”), the recently injured Nordi Mukiele is ready to play again.

This also applies to Achraf Hakimi, who recently struggled with muscle problems. On Friday, however, the Nanterre public prosecutor confirmed the charge of rape against the 24-year-old. Here you can find all information about it.
