FC Bayern presents new home shirt for the 2023/24 season

FC Bayern has presented its home jersey for the upcoming 2023/24 season. With the dress, the people of Munich are breaking a tradition that has been going on for decades.

Unlike what has been the norm since the late 1960s, the main color is not red but white. The jersey has a white base and red sleeves.

“The simple jersey consists of a white base color with strong, deep red sleeves. The design is reminiscent of the home jersey that the club wore in its first season (1931/1932 in the 1st league). The inside of the collar shows the lettering “Red & White for life” – a reference to one of the club’s statutes, which states that home shirts must be red and white,” the statement said.

“The colors red and white have been with me all my life. The new home jersey with our traditional colors represents the success story of FC Bayern Munich,” Thomas Müller is quoted as saying.

In the normal version, the jersey currently costs 99.95 euros. The authentic variant, which has “Bayern Munich” embossed on the sleeve ends, among other things, costs 149.95 euros. For a long-sleeved variant you pay 109.95 euros. A Champions League batch currently costs eight euros extra.

In contrast to the current jerseys, the flocking is currently free of charge due to the price increase. This usually costs 15 euros.

Lina Magull explained: “Anyone who thinks of FC Bayern immediately has images in their minds of red and white. Even as a child, my room was decorated in these colors and it’s a dream to be able to wear them on the pitch. The new jersey connects History and elegance – and we want to do justice to these colors.”

The kit will be worn for the first time in the home game against RB Leipzig next Saturday.
