FC Bayern probably has Michael Reschke in mind as the successor to Hasan Salihamidzic

FC Bayern Munich is apparently looking for a successor for the dismissed sports director Hasan Salihamidzic with a return from Michael Reschke.

Loud sports1 the Bayern bosses see Reschke as an option for a rather short-term solution. Other candidates like Markus Krösche (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Max Eberl (RB Leipzig) will probably be difficult to come by due to the commitments at their current clubs.

One of the things that speaks for Reschke is that he knows FCB very well. From 2014 to 2017, the 65-year-old was technical director at Bayern and was jointly responsible for the commitments of Joshua Kimmich and Kingsley Coman.

After his time in Munich, Reschke worked for VfB Stuttgart (August 2017 to February 2019) and FC Schalke 04 (June 2019 to November 2020). He is currently a director at the English consultancy agency Stellar Football.

Bayern parted ways with Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn shortly after the dramatic championship win on Saturday. The current technical director Marco Neppe could apparently leave FCB as well.
