FC Bayern starts housing project for people with disabilities

Housing and sports program: Bayern Munich is expanding its commitment to people who are in need because of the war in Ukraine. As part of its support measures, the German record champion is now organizing special housing for people with disabilities in cooperation with the social department of the city of Munich.

FC Bayern München AG and FC Bayern Hilfe eV are financing the costs of the rental project in equal parts, amounting to more than 200,000 euros. The club initially guarantees the costs for two years. In addition, FC Bayern will start the free program “We move together” on April 26, in which it creates sports opportunities for all refugees on its campus.

He is “very grateful” to Munich’s mayor Dieter Reiter, said President Herbert Hainer, “that the FC Bayern family can implement a sustainable commitment here as a partner of the city, which we can link to our other Ukraine offers. The sport is itself aware of his responsibility.”

He was pleased “with this great commitment by FC Bayern, which also focuses on people who have been particularly hard hit by the war in their homeland,” emphasized Reiter: “Together with our municipal social department, we can help people with disabilities like this offer a longer-term perspective with us.”
