Maria KeaneFormer international Stefan Effenberg warns coach Julian Nagelsmann that he should “not underestimate the situation at Bayern Munich. Three points from four games – you can’t afford that often at the club,” wrote the 54-year-old in his column for the news portal t-online.
Against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday evening (8.30 p.m. in the live ticker) and next week at Borussia Dortmund there are “two trend-setting games” for him and the German record champions.
Effenberg, who played for FC Bayern for a total of six years, described the current situation as “a difficult task and the biggest challenge for Nagelsmann since he has been in Munich”. At FCB “you’re doomed to succeed. Period. There’s a different pressure than in Hoffenheim or Leipzig – and Julian Nagelsmann is feeling that too at the moment.”
