Maria KeaneNational player Thomas Müller hopes that top scorer Robert Lewandowski, who is willing to emigrate, will stay at Bayern Munich. “Lewy has a valid contract and I would like my long-term offensive partner to stay, our connection on the pitch is well known,” said the 2014 world champion table football-Interview (Thursday edition).
“Of course,” added Müller, “the business is such that things can turn out differently. In general, the club is bigger than us players.”
The recent disagreement between Lewandowski and the Bayern management is not necessarily a break: “It’s a break and we’ve experienced a lot during these times, I’m just reminding you of Franck Ribery’s request to move to Real Madrid,” said Müller . One thing is certain: “Every player who is still under contract in Munich on September 1 will also want to play well. Because playing badly is no fun for any player.”
Lewandowski (33) wants to leave Munich, probably switch to FC Barcelona – immediately, although his contract is still valid for one season. “My story at Bayern is over. I can’t imagine another good partnership,” he said on Monday.
He hopes Bayern will not “keep him just because they can. A transfer is the best solution for all sides.” FC Bayern does not want to let Lewandowski go so far.
