FC Schalke 04 once again lends Amine Harit to Marseille

FC Schalke 04 has loaned Moroccan international Amine Harit back to Olympique Marseille. The offensive player, who last trained with the Gelsenkircheners for two months, will initially appear again for the French Champions League participants until the end of the current season.

Schalke announced this on Friday night. The transfer agreement includes both a purchase option and a conditional purchase obligation.

“With the loan to Marseille and the specific purchase obligation, we have found a model that suits both parties and makes economic sense for us. In our joint assessment, the probability that the necessary condition for the purchase obligation will be met is high,” said S04 -Sports director Rouven Schröder.

According to the club, the departure of Harit, who had already played for Olympique last season and still has a contract with Schalke until 2024, marks the “completion of the comprehensive restructuring of the squad” that began after relegation from the Bundesliga in 2021. “In the past year and a half we have had to undergo a unique upheaval. It was an extremely intense time, both in terms of the quantity and the quality of the challenges, which has now come to a successful conclusion,” said sporting director Peter Knäbel: “Now it’s done Look ahead to get the points needed to stay up.”
