Maria KeaneFC Bayern and TSV 1860 fans apparently fought a street fight on Implerstrasse in Munich’s Sendling district on Sunday evening.
According to consistent reports, the two groups of around 40 people each met at around 10:15 p.m., after which several emergency calls were made to the Munich police. When the police arrived, most of those involved were no longer there.
Photos and videos show masked people, some of whom are armed with striking tools, beating each other. Apparently Bayern fans were ambushing 1860 supporters who were on their way home from the third division game at Rot-Weiss Essen (2:2). “It’s not yet clear who attacked whom,” says a police officer in the Picture quoted. FC Bayern already played on Saturday and won 6-0 against FC Schalke 04.
“We will follow this for ourselves. It is unusual for the hooligans to meet in such a public place,” the police said. According to the report, no suspects have been arrested. There is also no information about any injuries.
