FC Bayern, News: FCB fans want a memorial for Müller

FC Bayern Munich fans collected donations during the 5-3 win against FC Augsburg to erect a memorial in the Allianz Arena for the late club legend Gerd Müller.

The Munich fan association Kurt Landauer Foundation called on FCB supporters to donate their cup deposit. Something very special is planned for the former world-class striker with the proceeds.

“On a pedestal directly on the esplanade just before the entrance to the stadium, Gerd Müller should shine in bronze 1.5 times life size,” says a statement from the fan association: “And of course in his incomparable jubilant pose, with which he celebrates his victory always celebrated goals!”

The Müller statue should be deliberately financed by fans “to make it something very special”. A life-size statue of the nation’s bomber already stands in Müller’s hometown of Nördlingen.

Completion is scheduled for autumn of this year. The costs should amount to 200,000 euros.

FC Bayern, News: FCB announces partnership with top club

FC Bayern Munich is entering into a partnership with MLS club Los Angeles FC. This was announced by the German record champions on Monday.

The goal: The international promotion of talent for their own teams and professional football.

“FC Bayern will expand its youth development with Los Angeles Football Club. Football is developing very dynamically at international level, which is particularly noticeable on the transfer market. We see the partnership with LAFC as an opportunity to put FC Bayern in sporting competition with the best clubs in Europe and the Bundesliga,” explained CEO Oliver Kahn.

And further: “The fact that the 2026 World Cup will largely take place in the USA, where we already have an office in New York, makes the Los Angeles location even more attractive. I expect a boost in quality and young talent in Major League Soccer , which has a positive impact on our partnership.”

FC Bayern, News: Benjamin Pavard leaves whereabouts open

Benjamin Pavard spoke about his future at Bayern Munich. “I’m very happy. I’m enjoying my time with the team and I want to win all the trophies,” the Frenchman told Sky sports and stressed in relation to a possible stay in Munich: “We’ll see the rest in the summer.”

The defender’s contract expires in the summer of 2024, and Pavard is said to have several alternatives in the event of a departure.
