"For money we wash everything clean"

During the home game of FC Bayern Munich against SC Freiburg (2-1), there was another poster protest by FCB fans. The focus was once again on the German record champions’ commitment to Qatar.

“For money we wash everything clean” read the poster that was presented in the south curve of the Allianz Arena. It shows Bavaria’s CEO Oliver Kahn and President Herbert Hainer standing around a washing machine.

There is a suitcase full of money on the device, pools of blood can be seen on the floor. Hainer has a blood-stained T-shirt in his hand.

The fans of the FCB are protesting again against the commitment of FC Bayern in Qatar, which usually holds its winter training camp there. In addition, the Qatari airline Qatar Airways has been a Bayern sponsor since 2018.

“I see that something is hanging there and wonder how the people behind it see something,” joked Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann about the protest of its own supporters: “The club tries to discuss things in dialogue – not by exclusion or looking the other way . I think we’ve already made a difference. My responsibility is on the field, during the game I concentrate on my team. “
