Borussia Dortmund’s talent manager Otto Addo is not a permanent option as Ghana’s national coach.
“I think that as a national coach you should also live in the country you work for in the long term. Of course, many things can also be organized and delegated from afar for a certain period of time. But I see myself personally in Germany in the next few years “said the 46-year-old in an interview with transfermarkt.de.
Addo will also look after Ghana temporarily at the World Cup in Qatar (November 21 to December 18). He had already led the team to the finals in the play-off ties against Nigeria. There, the “Black Stars” meet Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.
“Our group is certainly not easy, that’s clear. But I think that the teams are balanced, apart from perhaps Portugal, against whom it will of course be extremely difficult,” said Addo, hoping for a surprise: “Looking back, no World Cup is like that went as experts had previously predicted – that’s why I approach the tasks relatively unbiased and tell you quite honestly: Everything is possible.”
