FC Bayern, News: France club allegedly spurned Alphonso Davies

Alphonso Davies might have ended up in France before moving to Bayern Munich. Like MLS pro Chris Mavinga in a Twitch stream from RMC Sports divulged, he suggested his agent offer Davies to clubs in Europe. But there you obviously did not see the potential of the youngster.

“When I came to the US, I used to have fun giving my agent names that he could offer in Europe,” said Mavinga, who joined MLS in Toronto in 2017 and has been with LA Galaxy since January. Mavinga especially remembered the duel with the then 16-year-old Davies, who played for the Vancouver Whitecaps. He therefore said to his agent: “Alphonso Davies is a monster! Offer to clubs in France.”

According to Mavinga, who played in PSG youth and later at Stade Rennes and Stade Reims, his agent Davies is said to have actually offered at AS Saint-Étienne. But the French record champions, who have since crashed into Ligue 2, apparently had other plans. “We don’t want this player, he doesn’t play in a footballing country,” was Mavinga’s response.

Davies moved to Bayern Munich in 2019 for 14 million euros and developed into a world-class left-back with the German record champions.

FC Bayern, News: Change from Nick Salihamidzic before the end

The move from Nick Salihamidzic, the son of Bayern Munich’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, is about to be completed. The 19-year-old is set to move to Italian second division side Cosenza Calcio on loan. In its Instagram-Story gave Salihamidzic junior Cosenza as his current location.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had previously reported that the medical check should take place on Friday.

Salihamidzic’s contract with Bayern runs until 2025. Just a few weeks ago, the right-back returned to the Vancouver Whitecaps from a six-month loan, where he only made five appearances for the MLS club’s second team.

Salihamidzic switched from SpVgg Unterhaching to the German record champions’ offspring in 2015. He has not yet played for Bayern’s first team, last season he made two appearances for the U23s in the regional league. Here you can read more about Nick Salihamidzic.

FC Bayern, rumor: Haching goalkeeping coach an issue at FCB?

The former second division goalkeeper Michael Gurski is apparently traded at FC Bayern Munich as a goalkeeping coach for the youth sector. That reports sky.

The 43-year-old could take over the tasks of Tom Starke on the Bayern campus, who is currently helping out as an interim goalkeeper coach after the split from Toni Tapalovic. Gurski is currently the goalkeeping coach at regional league team SpVgg Unterhaching.

Nagelsmann’s confidant Michaelrechner is considered a hot candidate for Tapalovic’s permanent successor.
