BVB, News: David Raum explains the decision against Dortmund

The move from national player David Raum from TSG Hoffenheim to Borussia Dortmund also failed because of the timing. As a result, “it didn’t get really hot in the end,” said the new RB Leipzig winger in an interview sky: “In the end I put all the facts on the table and realized that the decision for RB was the right one.”

Before deciding in favor of the Saxons, he “extensively dealt with all offers” before the overall package convinced him of a transfer to the DFB Cup winner. “RB is a huge step forward. I can win titles here with the club if we put all the power on the pitch,” he said.

The transfer of the previous RB winger Angelino in return for TSG does not surprise Raum. “RB clearly communicates what the status of each player is and what the coach thinks about him,” he said. However, it was communicated to him “that if I come here and perform well, I will also play”.

BVB, News: Ex-coach speaks positively about Modeste’s change

Peter Stöger, Anthony Modeste’s former coach at 1. FC Köln, is certain that his former protégé will have no start-up problems at BVB. “He’s really good at kicking, fixing and dropping balls. And there are a lot of good preparers in Dortmund. That should work,” he said Ruhr news.

In general, he sees “no limit with the French. If the game idea suits him, then I am convinced that he will regularly score his goals at a top club, 20 or more a season, and also in the Champions League.” Stöger never understood anyway, “why no top club wanted to sign him, at least as a backup for a superstar. Dortmund could have come to him earlier. Maybe he can now show what he’s got at BVB.”

Stöger describes Modeste as a type of player: “He’s a clear nine, the likes of which you don’t get that often anymore. A target player who’s good at scoring. He’s really strong in the penalty area. He has a very good first contact, great physical power and a great He can also be important for BVB when it comes to defensive standards.”

Modeste can also be a joker, but “brings enormous value to the team as a character type”. The Austrian also has an anecdote from times together: “I once put him on the bench after a few games didn’t go so well for him. Then he had to watch, and that was against Dortmund of all places. He was really angry with me. I brought him on with 20 minutes to go, he made it 2-1 in the 90th minute and everything was fine. We hugged tightly. Sometimes I had to tickle him. But mostly he just delivered his goals.”

BVB, rumor: Karim Adeyemi will probably miss the Freiburg game

On the other hand, there is bad news from another newcomer. Karim Adeyemi will apparently fail for the upcoming Bundesliga game against SC Freiburg. The 20-year-old was injured in the first half of the game against Bayer Leverkusen – after sports1-Information related to that of table football cover, a mission against the SCF is still too early.

It probably won’t be enough for Niklas Süle either. The central defender suffered a muscle injury in the cup against 1860 Munich. Salih Özcan, on the other hand, made the trip to Freiburg. The midfielder, also new to BVB, has not yet been included in the squad due to a persistent bruised foot.

BVB, rumour: Manuel Akanji “Favorite” in place at Inter?

There has recently been no movement in a possible change from BVB defender Manuel Akanji to Serie A. There Inter Milan is traded as a possible buyer for the Swiss, it has been loud tuttosport nothing changed either.

There is still no agreement between the clubs, but the Italian newspaper Akanji is still the “favourite” for the vacant seat at the traditional club’s headquarters. Although BVB has long since said goodbye to its initial price expectations of 30 million euros, the 15 to 20 million euros currently being rumored are still too much for Inter. We hope for a discount.

Should the situation remain fruitless, two more names could come into Inter’s focus. tuttosport names Croatian Duje Caleta-Car from Olympique Marseille as well as Becir Omeragic from FC Zurich. These would be cheaper than Akanji and available for around ten million euros.

Akanji, whose contract expires in 2023, had clearly expressed his desire to change and therefore no longer plays a role in BVB’s plans.
