FCB, rumor: Ginter at Bayern probably not an issue at the moment

It has been clear for almost a week: Niklas Süle will leave FC Bayern free of charge in the summer. For Bayern, the question of a successor now arises. The name Matthias Ginter keeps coming up. The Gladbacher can also change free of charge in the summer.

As sports1 now reported, a transfer of the German international at Bayern is currently not an issue. Accordingly, the 28-year-old would only be considered if efforts to find the preferred candidates were unsuccessful.

According to information from SPOX and GOAL, Bayern are primarily trying to get Andreas Christensen from Chelsea. In addition, his teammate Antonio Rüdiger should also be among the shortlisted candidates.

Bayern News: Choupo-Moting and Cameroon in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup

Bayern striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has reached the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon. The host country beat Gambia 2-0 (0-0).

Choupo-Moting was not used for the entire 90 minutes. In Douala’s Japoma Stadium, Olympique Lyon’s Karl Toko Ekambi (50’/57′) scored the decisive goals for Cameroon, who last won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017, with his fourth and fifth goals of the tournament.

In the semi-finals, Cameroon meets the winners of the quarter-finals between Egypt and Morocco, who meet in Yaoundé on Sunday (5:00 p.m.).
