Maria KeaneHannes Wolf will leave Borussia Mönchengladbach for Wales. The 22-year-old, who was less and less seeded under Adi Hütter, is loud The Athletic before a loan to second division club Swansea City.
“It’s possible that something will happen in the next few days,” said Gladbach’s sports director Max Eberl at a press conference just yesterday. As it turns out, a loan deal with the championship club from Wales should be in the offing. The “Schwanen” are currently in 17th place in the table with 28 points and want to strengthen their attacking side. According to the report, the deal will be officially announced tomorrow.
Wolf, who scored 44 points for Red Bull Salzburg in 89 games, has not been able to assert himself in either Leipzig or Gladbach since moving to the Bundesliga: The left-footed player has only played 303 Bundesliga minutes under compatriot Adi Hütter this season – without goal participation. Wolf has therefore long been considered a potential change candidate and should now get more game practice on the island.
Rapid Vienna, Celtic Glasgow and Trabzonspor were also said to be interested.
