Maria KeaneGoalkeeper Oliver Baumann from Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim has extended his contract to June 30, 2024 with his ex-club SC Freiburg in time for the Baden derby on Saturday (3:30 p.m.).
“It shows the association’s appreciation and trust, which I want to continue to enjoy and give back,” said the 31-year-old Baumann on Thursday: “I want to help the club to continue to develop sustainably. We want to constantly stand for good football. “
Coach Sebastian Hoeneß sees the “derby as a top game as a good story” around the game between fourth and fifth in the table: “It will be an extremely demanding task.”
Hoeneß has to do without the ailing Dennis Geiger in Freiburg. There is a question mark behind the Austrian Florian Grillitsch’s commitment.
