Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic from FC Bayern commented on Sadio Mané and his suspension after the cabin dispute with Leroy Sané in the run-up to the home game against TSG Hoffenheim – and declared the matter settled.
Salihamidzic told opposite sky on summer newcomer Sadio Mané: “I know that Sadio is a great guy. Everyone makes a mistake. We talked a lot and worked through this mistake. That’s the end of it.”
When asked about the allegation by a Senegalese journalist that Sané Mané was said to have racially insulted before the slap in the face, Salihamidzic said: “Leroy assured us very clearly that he had never said anything in this direction. The matter has been dealt with.”
Finally, the 46-year-old made it clear: “We sanctioned it as we felt it was necessary. Sadio accepted it.”
In addition, Salihamidzic called rumors that technical director Marco Neppe could no longer sit on the bench in the future “a duck”.
