FC Bayern, News: Salihamidzic comments on Mazraoui and Cancelo

Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic commented on the future of loan players João Cancelo and Noussair Mazraoui after Bayern Munich’s clear victory against Schalke 04.

Salihamidzic said there had been “no talks” about a possible permanent commitment from Cancelo, for whom a purchase option of 70 million euros was reportedly negotiated with Manchester City. A decision should only be made after the season.

Especially since Cancelo is being ensnared by several top clubs. A return to Manchester City is also not ruled out.

Salihamidzic became clearer at Mazraoui. “He’s staying with us,” he clarified, putting an end to any speculation about the right-back.

Mazraoui had complained about his lack of match practice a few weeks ago, but was in the starting XI against Schalke again.

Salihamidzic also commented on Benjamin Pavard. You can find more information about this here.

FC Bayern, News: Herbert Hainer praises Thomas Müller as “indispensable”

Thomas Müller was back in the starting XI for the first time in several games in the 6-0 win against Schalke 04 – and promptly justified the trust with the early goal. “It was like a can opener,” praised President Herbert Hainer afterwards. “You can see that Thomas is indispensable.”

When asked about this, coach Thomas Tuchel agreed: “If the president says that, then the coach doesn’t contradict.”

Tuchel also provided background information on Müller’s situation: “Part of the whole story is that Thomas has also had a few aches and pains in recent weeks, has never been completely free in his movements, was never completely free of pain.” After a break in training, the offensive man “started the training week a little later and then seemed totally fresh and hot”.

FC Bayern, News: Thomas Müller confirms meetings with Kahn and Salihamidzic

After the win against Schalke, Müller spoke in detail and also criticized the media reports for supposed ideas about a change. You can read about it in detail here.

He also confirmed that there was a meeting with club boss Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic during the week. The image had first reported on this.

“These conversations happen again and again, sometimes at the kitchen table. In that case it was in Oliver Kahn’s office,” said Müller: “We also talked in general about the situation, the club, about my situation. But that’s actually it not as dramatic as it might have been made out to be.”

Loud sports1 Müller had shown understanding in the meeting that he did not always play from the beginning.

FC Bayern, News: Salihamidzic gives an update on Manuel Neuer

Hasan Salihamidzic commented on the situation of Manuel Neuer, who is currently working on his comeback after his skiing accident.

The goalkeeper makes a “really good impression,” said Bayern’s sporting director: “I see him every day. He’s on the right track, there’s still a bit to go. It’s getting better and better every day. He’s up the pitch, jumping and making his moves, so we’re glad he’s on the right track.”

Neuer had already returned to the training ground during the week. It is assumed that he will be fit again in time for the summer preparation.

FC Bayern, News: Herbert Hainer lures Augsburg with a “beer train”

President Herbert Hainer has made a generous offer to FC Augsburg in the event that he wins against Borussia Dortmund on the coming matchday.

“Then they get a Paulaner beer train sent past,” he said. In the event of a BVB defeat in the top game against RB Leipzig on Saturday, FC Bayern could become German champions early.

That would also be Hainer’s preferred variant: “Becoming champion at home is always nice.”
