"I'm a popular loser" - Alphonso Davies from FC Bayern complains about boredom after training

Bayern Munich’s defensive star Alphonso Davies gave a glimpse into life as a professional footballer – and reported, among other things, that he was bored after training sessions.

In a live stream on his Twitch channel thatboydavies19 Davies revealed: “Life as a professional footballer is cool, no question. You can chill and enjoy life. But after training there is nothing to do. I don’t have any family here and my girlfriend doesn’t live with me, so I’m on my own. “

The Canada international continued: “I’m a little concerned because I have nothing to do, especially when all my friends go to work. I have maybe five friends. I’m a popular loser.”

Davies ended up with the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2015 after two stints in Edmonton. In 2016 he made the leap into the first team of the MLS club. Three years later, FC Bayern brought the 22-year-old to Europe for 14 million euros. In Munich, Davies matured into one of the best left-backs in the world. His contract at Säbener Straße runs until 2025.

This season, the 35-time Canada international played 32 competitive games for FCB. He scored three goals and provided eight assists. After the international break, Davies and Co. under the new Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel have a cracker on the agenda: Bayern then welcome leaders Borussia Dortmund to the top game in the Bundesliga in the Allianz Arena.
