Joshua Kimmich responds to farewell rumors

Joshua Kimmich has firmly denied rumors about a possible departure from Bayern Munich.

“Transfer period is transfer period,” the 28-year-old quoted coach Thomas Tuchel with a smile on the record champions’ trip to Asia, before emphasizing: “I’m very sure that I’ll play for FC Bayern in the new season.”

Most recently, among other things, the trade journal table football reports that Bayern could be willing to discuss a lucrative offer for Kimmich. They continue to look for reinforcements in his defensive midfield position.

Coach Tuchel had recently emphasized that Kimmich’s departure would be “a big surprise”, but with a view to the change deadline of September 1, he didn’t want to rule out anything.
