BVB, rumor: Bellingham says goodbye to the club

Jude Bellingham’s departure from BVB is becoming more and more concrete. According to information from Ruhr news the midfielder said goodbye to some Dortmund employees on Sunday and handed out farewell gifts.

Before that, there was said to have been a conversation between Bellingham and the club management around Hans.-Joachim Watzke, Sebastian Kehl and Edin Terzic on the black and yellow club premises.

Speculations had recently increased that the 19-year-old would leave the club in the upcoming transfer window and join Real Madrid. Bellingham should then sign a contract with the royals until 2029, in return Real will transfer a transfer fee of over 100 million euros (plus bonuses) to BVB.

The Englishman moved to Dortmund from his youth club Birmingham City in July 2020. At BVB he quickly developed into a top performer and leading player. Originally, Bellingham would have had a contract in Dortmund until 2025.

BVB, News: Hummels writes an emotional statement

After losing the title fight against FC Bayern Munich, BVB defender Mats Hummels made an emotional statement on Instagram and thanked the Dortmund fans for their extensive support.

“I have rarely seen a city, a club so incredibly excited for a game. The euphoria in the last few weeks, in our stadium or no matter where you went, was as great as I have rarely experienced. It culminated in a mood around and in the stadium before the game and warming up like I’ve definitely never seen anywhere,” wrote Hummels there.

He thanked the fans for the predominantly positive reactions after the 2-2 draw against Mainz 05. “Your reaction in the stadium was exactly what makes this club special. Of course everyone was disappointed at first and didn’t know what to do with their emotions. And still the stadium remained almost completely full and your cheers and attempts at encouragement were extraordinary.”

At the same time, the pain is still deep with him. It was “bitter, disappointing and sad that we didn’t manage to make our common dream come true. I can’t put it into words more than a day later.”

BVB, rumour: Bensebaini commitment is imminent

Ramy Bensebaini’s free transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund is apparently about to be announced.

Like transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, the 28-year-old left-back has signed all the necessary documents and has already completed the medical check-up. The official confirmation of the change will follow shortly.

Bensebaini had played for Gladbach since 2019. His contract with the foals expires at the end of June.

BVB, News: Watzke exudes new optimism

After the brutal defeat in the championship fight in the Bundesliga, BVB is slowly picking itself up again and finding new optimism. “We have a very good team, we scored 46 points this year, 40 of them in the second half of the season alone,” said club boss Hans-Joachim Watzke SID on Whit Monday. “We have a great coach who fits in wonderfully with this team.”

Watzke rated the behavior of the Dortmund supporters particularly positively after the 2-2 win against FSV Mainz 05, which wasn’t enough in the title race with Bayern Munich on Saturday. “We form a unit, also and especially with the fans,” he emphasized: “The way they tried to build the team in the middle of all our pain was unique.”

After the final whistle, all BVB players collapsed, Marco Reus cried, coach Edin Terzic too. The South Stand applauded after the initial shock wore off.

BVB, News: Share loses almost 30 percent

Borussia Dortmund shares lost all of the gains of the past week in early holiday trading – and more. On Whit Monday, the share plummeted almost 30 percent and was quoted at 4.16 euros shortly after 10 a.m.

On Friday evening it was still 5.84 euros, before taking the lead in the Bundesliga again towards the season finale it was 4.44 euros. BVB lost the title on Saturday with a 2-2 win against FSV Mainz 05, a win would have been enough for the ninth championship in the club’s history.

BVB, News: Guerreiro leaves Dortmund after seven years

Raphael Guerreiro is leaving Borussia Dortmund after seven years. “It is time that I say goodbye to all of you with a lot of sadness,” wrote the 29-year-old Portuguese international on social media. The 2016 European champion’s contract expires in the summer.

“I will never forget the love I received from the fans and my teammates over these seven years,” continued Guerreiro. Atlético Madrid have reportedly expressed interest in the defender.
