Julian Nagelsmann also messes up the dress rehearsal and remains without a win at Bayern: 0: 3 against SSC Napoli

Bayern Munich’s new coach Julian Nagelsmann also suffered a defeat in the dress rehearsal for the new season. The German record champions lost 3-0 (0-0) against the Italian top club SSC Napoli – despite the return of some stars such as Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry or Leon Goretzka (the game in LIVETICKER for reading). To make matters worse, Kingsley Coman had to be replaced early, injured.

Victor Osimhen (70th / 71st) and Zinedine Machach (85th) sealed Bayern’s third defeat in the fourth preparatory game. Before that, there had also been bankruptcies against 1. FC Köln (2: 3) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (0: 2), against Ajax Amsterdam the record champions came to a 2: 2.

On Saturday, the Munich team in the person of Michael Cuisance lost the ball lightly before the first two goals conceded in midfield, Osimhen exploited the opportunities in each case. At this point, Nagelsmann had already made significant changes and had long since taken his superstars off the field. Nevertheless, whistles could be heard after the second goal.

Whether the French international Coman can play in the first round of the DFB Cup next Friday at Bremer SV seems at least questionable. The 25-year-old had to leave the field after only nine minutes. Coach Julian Nagelsmann said after the final whistle on RTL that Coman was suspected of having a bruised rib.

After Marc Roca (ankle), Alphonso Davies (ankle), Lucas Hernandez (meniscus), Christian Früchtl (broken collarbone) and Corentin Tolisso (Corona), Coman would be the sixth failure at the record champions. Striker Joshua Zirkzee could also leave the club on loan. Zirkzee was no longer in the squad against Napoli.

The new chairman of the board, Oliver Kahn, had described the record champions’ relatively narrow squad as “excellent” before the start of the game and, despite a few injuries in the squad, rejected purchases on the transfer market.

FCB coach Nagelsmann: “Should I do the Zampano now?”

Bayern missed some good chances in the first round. Lewandowski (17th) shot over the goal, Jamal Musiala (28th) failed to goalkeeper Nikita Contini, and Gnabry (43rd) hit the outside post.

At the beginning of the second half, Nagelsmann made numerous changes, which was immediately noticeable. Bayern were no longer so superior and hardly had any opportunities. The goals against were the logical consequence.

“The first half was good, we were clearly the better team. In the second half we actually scored three own goals,” said Nagelsmann at RTL, who praised the returnees: “With them we had a lot more control of the game than in the last three Test matches. “

When asked whether the national team could already play in the DFB Cup game on Friday at Bremer SV despite the lack of training, Nagelsmann said: “It has to be enough.” Nagelsmann didn’t want to say much about the mistakes made by the young players when they conceded goals against Napoli. “What should I do with the Zampano after a test match? Everything will be fine,” he said.
