The French daily sports newspaper L’Equipe reports that Julian Nagelsmann could guide his former protégé at FC Bayern Munich, Benjamin Pavard, to the Seine in the event of a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Nagelsmann is said to be about to switch to the PSG coaching bench. If it comes to that, the Parisians will focus more on transfers towards the Bundesliga, it is said. Nagelsmann appreciates Pavard very much. The Frenchman is said to favor a move to a club where he is used as a centre-back.
Pavard is not the only FC Bayern defender who is very popular with the Ligue 1 champions. PSG are also trying to attract compatriot Lucas Hernández and are even said to agree with him on a transfer this summer.
In addition to Inter Milan, some Premier League clubs are said to be interested in Pavard. His contract with FC Bayern expires in 2024.
Pavard came to Munich in 2019 for 35 million euros from VfB Stuttgart. He has played 162 competitive games for the record champions, mostly as a full-back. He scored twelve goals and twelve assists.
