Julien Duranville changes from RSC Anderlecht to BVB.

Borussia Dortmund made the next winter transfer perfect after Julian Ryerson. 16-year-old Julien Duranville is moving to BVB from RSC Anderlecht in Belgium.

After successfully completing the medical check, Duranville should be loud at BVB Ruhr news signed a three-year contract with the option of a follow-up contract. He is immediately integrated into the pros.

The 1.70 meter tall Belgian is currently injured, however, at the beginning of December he tore a muscle part. Duranville struggled with muscle injuries throughout the season.

“He’s an agile and tricky player. We see his potential, but he’s just coming out of injury and will certainly need some time to work his way up,” Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl told the newspaper. However, official confirmation from the clubs is still pending.

According to reports, the fee is 8.5 million euros plus bonus payments, which could increase the total volume by 11 million euros – Borussia have never paid a higher sum for a 16-year-old player. In addition, the Belgian record champions are said to have secured a significant percentage in the event of a possible resale.

BVB signs Julien Duranville from RSC Anderlecht

Duranville’s contract with the club from the Belgian capital Brussels was dated until 2024. However, the right winger, who can be used in both offensive outer positions, did not want to extend it prematurely. Anderlecht therefore aimed to sell the player by summer at the latest.

Duranville was born in Uccle, Belgium, to parents of Ivory Coast and Congo origins. He is considered one of the greatest talents in his age group. He impresses with his start, a high pace and good dribbling. He has weaknesses due to his size in the air, even on first contact and the quality of his shots, Duranville still has room for improvement.

Duranville, who has played twice for Belgium’s U19 national team, made his professional debut for Anderlecht at the end of last season under coach Vincent Kompany shortly after his 16th birthday. So far this season he has made ten appearances, including four in the Europa Conference League, for the Belgian first team. He has one goal on his books, scoring just six minutes after coming on.
