Karim Adeyemi’s agent Thomas Solomon revealed on the sidelines of the Golden Boy gala that his client would not be switching to FC Barcelona. Instead, the Red Bull Salzburg offensive player should go to the Bundesliga.
“A few days ago we definitely said ‘no’ to Barca’s offer, Barca are no longer an option for Karim,” the Spanish newspaper quoted as saying Sports Solomon. “The best thing for him is a German club,” he continued.
According to the agent, Barca made the player an offer, but the club “never actually approached Salzburg”. However, the current decision is not a final rejection of the Catalans, stressed Solomon. “Let’s see what can happen in two or three years,” he added.
BVB is the favorite in Adeyemi poker
According to information from SPOX and GOAL, Borussia Dortmund is the favorite to sign up for the new season. There are currently problems with the transfer fee. Again kicker reported, there are up to 40 million euros in transfer fees for Adeyemi – a lot more than BVB actually wants to pay for the striker.
According to Sport 1 With RB Leipzig there is currently only one other club besides BVB in the race for Adeyemi. The 19-year-old is still under contract with Salzburg until 2024; in the current season he has so far scored 18 goals in 28 competitive games.
