Borussia Dortmund will have to do without Karim Adeyemi for at least three weeks in the Bundesliga title fight.
The national player suffered a torn muscle fiber in his left thigh during his assist to 2-0 against Hertha BSC (4-1) on Sunday evening, as the club announced on Monday.
The 21-year-old was substituted immediately after Donyell Malen’s goal (31st). He had scored the 1-0 himself (28th).
“We’ll probably miss him in the next few games, but we hope it won’t be too long before he can be back,” said BVB coach Edin Terzic DAZN said.
Adeyemi is also likely to miss the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 at Chelsea (1-0 first leg) on March 7th.
