Kingsley Coman apparently injured his right thigh

Bayern striker Kingsley Coman apparently injured his right thigh in the Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday evening.

In the 26th minute of the last away game of the year, the Frenchman backwards the ball against Stuttgart’s central defender Konstantinos Mavropanos and was just able to steal the ball from the Greeks.

Coman cleared the ball and then went down on the sideline and grabbed his right thigh. Coach Julian Nagelsmann reacted immediately and brought Leroy Sane in the right position on the wing. A diagnosis is currently pending.

Bayern have had to deal with a number of injuries in the past few weeks. In addition to Joshua Kimmich, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (both after corona infection) and Josip Stanisic (torn muscle bundle in the left thigh), Leon Goretzka and Corentin Tolisso were also missing on Tuesday. Marcel Sabitzer wasn’t there after his muscle injury in the calf against Stuttgart.
