Kingsley Coman is about to be out again with a rib injury

Record champions Bayern Munich may have to do without Kingsley Coman again. The French offensive player had to leave the field after nine minutes in the 0-3 (0-0) in the last test against SSC Napoli.

Coman now threatens to be canceled for the first competitive game on Friday (8.45 p.m.) in the DFB Cup at Bremer SV. “He probably has a bruised rib,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann, who did not win in preparation.

After Marc Roca (ankle), Alphonso Davies (ankle), Lucas Hernandez (meniscus), Christian Früchtl (broken collarbone) and Corentin Tolisso (Corona), Coman would be the sixth failure at the record champions.

Striker Joshua Zirkzee could also leave the club on loan. Zirkzee was no longer in the squad against Napoli.

The new chairman of the board, Oliver Kahn, had described the record champions’ relatively narrow squad as “excellent” before the start of the game and, despite a few injuries in the squad, rejected purchases on the transfer market.
