Robert Lewandowski’s advisor Pini Zahavi wants to maintain a good relationship with FC Bayern in the future. For this he wants to transfer players to Bayern.
“I hope that I can continue to have a good, friendly relationship with FC Bayern in the future,” said Zahavi in the sports picture. “I hope I can bring them players – and not just take players away from the club.”
The Israeli is referring to the transfers of David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski, who left FC Bayern, although the club would have liked to continue working together. Alaba went to Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, Lewandowski recently switched to FC Barcelona for around 45 million euros.
There had been heated discussions between the club and player side, especially about the departure of the Polish striker. In an interview, ex-Bayern President Uli Hoeneß described Zahavi as a “greedy piranha”.
With Christopher Nkunju there is a player under Zahavi’s wing, who was also under discussion at FC Bayern this summer. However, the offensive star from RB Leipzig had only recently extended his contract, which ran until 2024, to 2026.
