Longer break for Julian Weigl

Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to do without ex-national player Julian Weigl “in the coming weeks”.

As the club announced, the 27-year-old midfielder suffered a partial rupture of the syndesmosis in the 3-2 win against champions Bayern Munich on Saturday.

Weigl, on loan from Benfica, came on in the 57th minute and was substituted again in injury time after suffering an injury.
