Maria KeaneMahmoud Dahoud will be out until November with a shoulder injury and will require surgery. BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl confirmed DAZN the downtime: “He won’t be able to play again until November.”
Since the 2022 World Cup will take place in winter, the first half of the season is almost over for the midfielder. “We and Mo have tried everything in the last two weeks, but his shoulder has already jumped out a second time and that’s not how it works. That’s why we decided to have an operation,” explained Kehl.
BVB coach Edin Terzic previously confirmed the injury: “He had already been injured on his shoulder. At that time it was treated conservatively. We tried to calm down a bit and have been trying conservatively for almost two weeks now. This morning he signals that it’s not possible, so unfortunately he can’t avoid an operation. Unfortunately, he won’t be available to us in the near future.”
