Manchester City has probably kept an eye on alleged Bayern transfer target Raphaël Guerreiro

Manchester City, led by coach Pep Guardiola, are reportedly thinking about trying to sign left-back Raphaël Guerreiro. That reports the Sun.

Accordingly, Guardiola has the Portuguese, who is only under contract with Borussia Dortmund until the end of June and will leave BVB free of charge, as a replacement for Joao Cancelo. The latter will probably initially return to City from his loan at Bayern, but is unlikely to have a future there.

A commitment by Guerreiro would be loud Sun while also paving the way for a loan deal from Sergio Gomez. Premier League promoted Burnley, coached by ex-City defender Vincent Kompany, is said to be on the Spanish left-back’s turn. Gomez rarely gets a chance with the Skyblues.

Guerreiro, meanwhile, has recently been linked to several other top clubs. Among other things, FC Bayern is said to be interested in the Portuguese international.

Raphaël Guerreiro: BVB contract not extended

Shortly after the dramatic season finale in the Bundesliga, Dortmund finally confirmed that Guerreiro would not extend his expiring contract.

The 29-year-old switched from FC Lorient to the Black and Yellows in 2016 and has played a total of 224 competitive games (40 goals, 50 assists) for BVB since then.
