Manchester City would like Benjamin Pavard to replace Kyle Walker

Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard appears to be at the top of Manchester City’s list of candidates to replace Kyle Walker. This is reported by a transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Accordingly, there could now be talks between the German record champions and the reigning English champions about a kind of barter deal. For their part, Bayern have expressed an interest in Walker and would like to sign the right-back. The Englishman has said he is willing to move to Munich sky already given.

According to Romano, there have also been initial talks between Pavard and City, but an agreement is still a long way off.

Pavard has been flirting with a farewell to Munich for a long time. The Frenchman always stressed that he preferred to be used in his regular position as a central defender, but at Bayern he had to help out on the right back in the back four from time to time in the past season.

Pavard moved from VfB Stuttgart to the Isar in the summer of 2019. He has played 162 games for Bayern in four years. Most recently, Inter Milan was also considered a possible transfer target for the 27-year-old.
