Attacker Marcus Thuram will most likely leave Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer. The statements made by sports director Roland Virkus on Sunday were different sports1– “double pass” not to interpret.
“We stretched ourselves at Marcus Thuram. We have to accept that when there are bigger clubs Marcus might go to,” said Virkus.
The contract of the 25-year-old, who came to North Rhine-Westphalia from Guingamp in 2019, expires after the season. “The fact that players will leave us on a free transfer is not a positive situation and I cannot sugarcoat it,” admitted Virkus.
In recent weeks, several top clubs have been said to be interested in the French, including FC Bayern Munich, PSG and FC Barcelona.
In the current season Thuram has 14 goals and 4 assists in 22 competitive games, on Saturday he was also successful in the 3-2 win over FC Bayern.
