Maria KeaneMario Götze could return to the Bundesliga. As the sports picture reported, the 30-year-old is under discussion as a newcomer to Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to this, initial talks about possible cooperation are said to have already taken place between the 2014 world champion and Eintracht.
The Frankfurters should see Götze as a suitable candidate for reinforcement in the midfield center. For the upcoming Champions League season, the SBU is still looking for a strong ten.
Götze still has a contract with his current employer, PSV Eindhoven, that runs until June 2024. However, according to several media reports, the 30-year-old has a release clause of four million euros, which could be activated by July.
In addition to Frankfurt Eintracht, the newly crowned Serie A champions AC Milan, their league rivals AS Roma and Benfica Lisbon have also recently expressed an interest in Götze. In the case of the latter, the previous Eindhoven coach, Roger Schmidt, took over as coach.
Götze was on the pitch 52 times for PSV in the past season. He scored twelve goals and prepared eleven more goals. In the Bundesliga he had already played for Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich in the past.
