Midfielder Atakan Karazor arrested in Ibiza

Maria KeaneVfB Stuttgart midfielder Atakan Karazor has been arrested while on holiday in Ibiza. The Bundesliga club announced this in a brief statement on Saturday afternoon and stated that the player denied any criminal activity.
VfB, which did not give any details about the allegations against Karazor, is in constant contact with his lawyers. With reference to an ongoing procedure, the club further explained that it “cannot comment further for the time being”.
Born in Essen, Karazor has been under contract with VfB since July 2019. In the past season he was used in 25 competitive games for the Swabians. In May, both sides extended the contract until 2026.
