Modeste scores in the Cologne test match win

Maria KeaneIn view of the international break, several Bundesliga teams played test matches on Wednesday. There were victories for 1. FC Köln, VfB Stuttgart and VfL Bochum. VfL Wolfsburg, on the other hand, suffered the first defeat under coach Florian Kohfeldt.
Anthony Modeste’s series of goals at 1. FC Köln has continued. The French striker scored the 2-0 (34th) goal in the billy goats’ 4-0 (2-0) against second division club SC Paderborn, former club of FC head coach Steffen Baumgart. Previously, Kingsley Schindler (23rd) had scored the leading goal for Cologne, Philipp Wydra (68th) and Florian Kainz (84th) made the final score.
Modeste had tied a double for FC three times in the last four competitive games. The encounter took place in camera in the Franz Kremer Stadium at Geißbockheim.
Stuttgart beats Zurich – Müller back in goal
VfB Stuttgart won a test match when regular goalkeeper Florian Müller returned. The Swabians won against Swiss first division club FC Zurich 1-0 (0-0) on Wednesday, while young player Alou Kuol (90th) scored the decisive goal late.
Müller had tested positive for the corona virus about a month ago and has not played a game since. The goalkeeper returned to training two weeks ago and was now on the field against Zurich for the entire season.
Defeat under Kohfeldt: Wolves lose test against Rostock
Without national players Maximilian Arnold (27) and Ridle Baku (23) nominated by national coach Hansi Flick (56), VfL Wolfsburg lost their friendly against Hansa Rostock with 1: 3 (0: 1). Haris Duljevic (17th), Streli Mamba (60th) and Theo Gunnar Martens (79th) scored for the second division, Dodi Lukebakio (85th) scored the consolation goal for the Champions League participant in the closing stages, with William had to be replaced due to an injury.
For the new coach Florian Kohfeldt (39) it was the first defeat with the wolves after three wins at the start.
Bochum wins test against Viktoria Cologne
VfL Bochum scored the next small victory during the international break. In the test against third division club Viktoria Köln, however, Thomas Reis’s team came late to close 2: 1 (1: 1), while Saulo Decarli (17th) and Soma Novothny (87th) decided the game with his goal shortly before the end. Luca Marseiler (33.) had equalized for Cologne.
Newcomers Bochum has won four of their last five competitive games, leaving the relegation zone in the Bundesliga and reaching the round of 16 in the DFB Cup.
